Orthopaedic Massage Therapy

Massage is defined as the systematic manual manipulations of the soft tissies of the body by movements, such as rubbing, kneading, pressing, rolling, and tapping for therapeutic purposes, such as promoting circulation of the blood and lymph, relaxation of muscles, relief of pain, restoration of metabolic balance, and other benefits both physical and mental.  

 

Therapeutic Massage is administered to relieve muscle soreness, due to sports (or lack of) specializing in chronic and acute injuries dealing with muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries. 

 

Our massage therapy specialties include:

  • Deep Tissue Massage- This form of massage broadens the fibrous tissues of muscles, tendons, or ligaments, breaking down unwanted adhesions and restoring mobility to muscles. 
  • Sports Massage- Usually one specific area or region, this method is designed to enhance an athlete's performance.
